"The support that proved to be the toughest and most challenging and made us want to consider if there would be another..."💚💛💖MAY-Hi!Global MAYs have successfully sent another drama support to Park Jihoon and Kitchen Soldier team despite a number of challenges... all of which were eventually overcome thanks to the dedication and love from everyone who made it possible.Firstly, let us introduce the full set-up of the coffee truck.
THEME
We prepared a Winter Café since we were given the chance to do support during the cold winter. To also make cooking and food relevant to the theme, Global MAY donors were invited to submit photos of their photocards together with a representative food from their respective countries, sending Jihoon love and warmth from every corner over the world.As this support also marked the beginning of a new year, we highlighted the Winter wishes and messages sent by Global MAYs, each message carrying hopes, encouragement, and love for Jihoon for a fruitful journey as a soloist actor.
Banners
The text for the main banner was:사랑이 전설이 되는 겨울 카페 which translates to Winter café where love becomes legendary.It is a play on the title of the drama that Jihoon is filming, 취사병 전설이 되다 (The Legendary Kitchen Soldier) while also aligning seamlessly with the Winter Café concept.Max was also featured in this banner as we lovingly considered this space is also a dog café, which is a small detail reflecting the warmth we wished to convey through the support.💚💛💖The right banner was designed like a menu (Global MAYnu) and features the countries as well as the names / usernames of our Global MAY donors. The names are arranged according to the amount donated and the country flags are arranged according to the number of donors per country. It symbolized the unity of Global MAYs, showing Jihoon that our love and support for him extends far beyond borders.💚💛💖The left banner features the heartfelt wishes of Global MAYS for Park Jihoon. These were decorated with adorable puppies as we know Jihoon’s affection for dogs. Like the support itself, the Winter Café symbolized comfort and love, thoughtfully crafted to show Jihoon how much he is appreciated, not just for his work, but for the wonderful person he is.

The recently posted selca of Jihoon being bundled up under a blanket was used and the text which read,"성큼 다가온 추운 겨울 촬영엔;
재빠르게 따뜻한 커피한잔을!
Love, Global Mays"which means "While filming in the incoming cold winter, quickly have a cup of warm coffee! Love, Global Mays" was an acrostic of the name of the character of Jihoon in this drama (Kang Sungjae).
Photos & Latte Art
We selected 4 photos representing different chapters of Jihoon’s journey: baby Jihoon during winter, Jihoon as an idol, Jihoon as a model and Jihoon as an actor. Each photo was chosen with love to remind him that Global MAYs are supporting him every step of the way.
There are also 4 photos that they can choose for their latte art:· MAX in Santa costume
· Jihoon with a big red bow
· Jihoon from a magazine shoot
· Jihoon with a coffee foam on his lip.We were told only 2 photos came out well in the latte art which were both given to Actor Park Jihoon as a small token of love from Global MAYs, meant to brighten his day and bring a little joy to the entire <Kitchen Soldier> crew during filming.
Drinks & Snacks
As our funds are limited, we had to budget it very well to ensure drinks and snacks for Park Jihoon and <Kitchen Soldier> casts and crew.Therefore, we opted for latte art drinks and 15 other types of drinks, plus 2 winter snack options - bunggeopang (fish-shaped bread) and odeng (fish cake).
We also prepared a mini snack box for Park Jihoon, featuring a Schnauzer doll dressed as a baker, accompanied by a simple New Year greeting.The note carried the heartfelt wishes of Global MAYs:"HAPPY NEW YEAR⭐️
Jihoon~ Global Mays are very happy to welcome 2026 with you! Let's make more precious memories together from now on!"

Translation:When Actor Park Jihoon passed by the coffee truck at first, we greeted him by saying hello, he also said "hello" back!As soon as he looked into the coffee truck, he smiled a lot and he seemed to really like it so much!He came out at the center and the moment he saw the banners, he took photos of them and as he was taking a photo at the photo zone (mirror), he looked like he feels his short hair was kinda awkward so he put on the hoodie of his jacket and then took a photo. It must be the photo that he posted in his (instagram) story.Since he couldn't receive other gifts, he only took the message post-it note instead.For the drinks, he ordered hot americano, iced americano and cold brew latte. We also gave him 2 cups of the wonderpic latte with the photos you sent us! Since there's a puppy photo too, he really liked it so much.The staff were saying the fish-shaped bread and fish cakes are so delicious that they kept coming back to eat more. One actor even said they were too delicious that they're about to lose their mind.The staff representative that I got in touch with (for this support) told me separately that Actor Park Jihoon loved that the coffee truck is coming.Since he was busy filming so he couldn't stay for long and couldn't make time to write a message on the mirror. He then thanked us and went on again to continue filming.

Challenges and Admins' Thoughts
While we are getting more countries participating, we have been getting less total number of donors and therefore less donation. We were contemplating whether to proceed with the support as we were unable to reach 100%. However, since we might be prohibited from sending future supports should we cancel our application, we decided to proceed with it, even if the support may look emptier than our usual.Applying for a support schedule was already a big challenge but waiting for our turn is an even bigger challenge, as it took months before we were given a schedule.The biggest challenge was the support schedule being cancelled and rescheduled three times, incurring cancellation fees with our already limited budget. While we would always want to deliver Global MAYs' love for Park Jihoon, it has been getting harder and harder to send a decent support since we have lesser participation than usual.Therefore, we are contemplating whether to send a support for the next project, but still hoping through Global MAYs' unconditional love and support for Jihoon, we would be able to reach the target goal for another.Communication and coordinating with the caterer and the agency was also a challenge since PJHSupporters team could only coordinate with them virtually. But we would really like to thank our caterer Wonder Coffee for being easy to communicate with and for accommodating us despite the 3x cancellation of support schedules.While the journey was filled with challenges, every obstacle was overcome with sincerity and one clear purpose—to deliver the love and support from Global MAYs to Park Jihoon.In the end, it was made possible through the dedication, patience, and unwavering love of everyone who believed in delivering our heartfelt support to Jihoon.💚💛💖Thank you once again to the generous Global MAY donors.
